Yes, I was an evangelical once. I was like 16 years old when I 'gave my heart to the Lord'. I became quite fanatical actually. By the time I was in my thirties I had a major crisis and left the denomination I was in. Al kinds of turmoil inside the Dutch evangelical movement then. I eventually joined a evangelical church again and was active in the worship team, but I was more into it because of the 'experience' rather than believing it all. In 2010 I finally broke with this faith after it disintegrated bit by bit over the years. I consider myself more of an atheist now than and agnost. I realized at some moment that Christianity is by far the biggest conspiracy on this planet, a society that has the ultimate goal of wiping out all other religions and converting every soul on this planet to the 'true religion'. I hold Christianity even responsible for the devastation thinking of believers that we can do with this planet whatever we want because God gave it to us and in the end it does not matter how we screw things up because heaven and earth will pass away and all things will be new! Our earth is disposable, that's what Christians believe! And animals are just... sacrifice material or food!

Hi, I'm a loser like you and a specimen of the hidious race that is pestering this earth and making it inhabitable for all known lifeforms.

Man, what a journey. Much much respect to you for doing that work. Wow. I would absolutely love to read a long form article about that journey.
